Wanderlist Discover: Nevis, The Caribbean
The laid back and unspoiled friendly paradise of Nevis, one of the two islands that form the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, is probably the best kept secret among the Caribbean Islands. Situated at the base of the 3000 ft. Nevis Peak, Nevis is blessed with long white-sand beaches, verdant valleys and an old-world allure that encourages you just relax and let go of your worries, the moment you step onto this hidden island. Unlike its more popular neighbour, St. Kitts, located just a 10 minute boat ride away, you will not find cruise ships docked in the harbour, all-inclusive resorts or even a souvenir stand, and that’s the true beauty of Nevis. To make the most of your holiday here, spend your days exploring the old sugar plantations and in the afternoon, play a few rounds on the amazing local golf course. This Eden is perfect for those who want to get away from it all, soak up the Caribbean sun and sip on a long, cool drink, under the shade of coconut palms.
